Selecting a Contractor... Part of our comprehensive service involves inviting 3 x separate contractors (of Warranted Builder status with the Federation of Master Builders - see the key benefits of employing a Warranted Builder by clicking here) in the client's postcode area to tender quotes for the work detailed in the approved plans. The contractors send the quotes directly to the client, who can then select a successful candidate to undertake the work. In
order to minimise any possibility of misunderstanding, the successful
contractor will be required to draw up a contract in plain English,
which sets out the agreed work in easy to understand terms. The contract must
also offer both parties a route for making variations in the work to be done,
and agreeing any extra cost this will involve - the biggest potential area for
